Rain for our holiday weekend

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Not even close to being done with rain chances. Heading into this holiday weekend, be cautious of outdoor plans getting rained out.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Scattered showers and storms will be possible through the rest of the night. Some could become strong to severe, so have ways to receive warnings (for example: phone alerts, NOAA radio, Facebook). Highest concerns are with damaging wind gusts and hail. A very very low chance for tornadoes is possible. Heavy clouds will maintain and humidity levels stay high. Lows tonight will be in the lower 70s.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Chances for showers and storms will continue on and off through the entire holiday weekend (Saturday-Monday). Afternoon high temperatures will be in the low to middle 80s. Be prepared to move any outdoor plans, inside. Overnight temperatures will drop into the upper 60s to lower 70s.

NEXT WEEK: Scattered rain chances will continue throughout next week. High temperatures will maintain in the low to middle 80s. Low temps will stay mild, in the middle to upper 60s.
