More Summer-y Weather In Store

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) — Hot and muggy conditions will persist in NE Mississippi for the next couple of days.

MONDAY: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms exists for the morning and early afternoon hours, but any cells that form will be isolated. Skies will be mostly sunny, letting us heat up to a high of 98°. However, with the high humidity, heat index values will top out at closer to 110° for many of us. Heat advisories and extreme heat warnings are in place across all of north Mississippi and western Alabama.
