WPCSD releases statement regarding a student needing medical attention at West Point High School

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – The West Point Consolidated School District says West Point High School was not on lockdown today and there was no weapon.
The district released a statement that a child needed medical attention.
And as a result, first responders and law enforcement were called to the school.
The district said that students had to remain in the classrooms to allow the school’s nurse and first responders to reach the student.
It says that the school was not placed on lockdown and there were no weapons involved.
West Point Consolidated School District thanked first responders and law enforcement for their prompt response and assistance.
