Above Average Temps Continue

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Heat, heat, heat and more heat. The 90’s have no plans of going away any time soon.

THIS EVENING – Tonight is not much different than the night before. The overnight low will be in the low 70’s with mostly clear conditions. Expect gusty winds up to 20 mph if you’re outdoors.

TOMORROW – Coming off of the long weekend will be another day of above average temps. The afternoon high is expected to warm into the middle 90’s with a chance for isolated showers and storms. Heat Advisories are in effect for Grenada, Montgomery, Yalobusha, Lafayette, Carroll counties for the day tomorrow. While most of us are not in those advisories, it will still be uncomfortably hot nonetheless.

THIS WEEK – For the next seven days, the middle to even upper 90’s will remain with Thursday being the hottest. Tuesday through Thursday will have a chance for isolated showers each day. By Friday, a front attempting to push through will increase rain coverage before quickly returning to more isolated by the weekend. No major rain impacts, but keep an umbrella or rain jacket on you Friday.
