Tupelo street to temporarily close for demolition project
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo drivers may need to find another route next week.
The city’s Public Works Department said a portion of Commerce Street will be closed Monday, September 28, for a building demolition project.
Starting around 6:30 a.m., traffic will be blocked off between East Main Street and East Jefferson Street.
The road will remain closed until the work is complete.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area, use alternate routes and use caution near the work zone.
The City of Tupelo said it appreciates the public’s patience while the work is completed.
