Some Starkville locals are already beginning to get in the Christmas spirit
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – While most of the attention has been on Halloween lately, some folks in Starkville are already gearing up for Christmas.
First United Methodist Church hosted the 17th edition of the Holiday Handcrafts Bazaar.
This year’s event had more than 30 vendors selling their hand-crafted goods.
It was a good place to pick up one-of-a-kind gift items and decorations for early Christmas shoppers.
There were also frozen casseroles and baked goods available.
Friday’s event even featured live music to get shoppers in the mood.
The money raised goes to help First United Methodist Church’s missions programs.
“We hope to create a sense of community. We hope that we create a sense that we’re supporting artists and crafters in the area, just really a sense of love among us all.”
One of the events the bazaar helps fund is the church’s next big one, the International Thanksgiving Dinner.
