Cooler Fall Weekend Ahead

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Temperatures will remain pleasant and seasonably warm today, but cooler fall conditions are on the way for this weekend.

FRIDAY: Lots of sunshine will be shining across the twin states today. The high temperature is 74°, although it will be a bit cooler for our northern counties. Light winds from the north-northwest will increase to 5 to 10 mph by noon.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Temperatures will cool down significantly tonight, down to a low around 41°. Skies remain mostly clear. Winds will be out of the north at 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY: Tomorrow’s high will only reach the mid-sixties across our area, making for a nice, cooler fall Saturday. We’ll see mostly sunny skies, especially in the afternoon. Winds will be out of the north at 5 to 10 mph. If you’re heading out to Homecoming at Mississippi State University, you might want to layer up, as temperatures will be in the fifties by halftime.
