Humidity returns with a chance for rain

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Moisture returns so get ready for the heat and isolated rain chances.

THURSDAY NIGHT: It is going to be another mild night, as moisture continues to move in from the South. Passing clouds will be expected with lows dropping into the low to middle 70s.

FRIDAY: As moisture levels increase, clouds will start filling up our sky. There will still be plenty of sun though! Afternoon high temperatures will return to the middle 90s. Because of the increased humidity, the heat index values will be closer to 100. Isolated rain chances could pop-up in the afternoon through evening. Lows will become a bit more mild, dropping into the middle 70s.

WEEKEND: It is going to be a rinse and repeat forecast. Summer is in full swing. Hot temperatures in the middle 90s, heat index values close to 100, and isolated chances for showers and storms through the weekend and into next week. Overnight lows stay muggy, in the middle 70s.
