Lee County Coroner: Infant found unresponsive at daycare in Guntown

GUNTOWN, Miss. (WCBI) – A death investigation is underway after a five-month-old was found unresponsive at a daycare.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green said the child was at Sunshine Preschool and Daycare on County Road 833.

A worker found the child on Tuesday afternoon. The baby was rushed to the hospital and passed away.

Green said foul play was not suspected.

An autopsy will be done at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
