There is just one week left until Christmas and people are hunting for the perfect last-minute gift.

Margaret Ann Borland, co-owner of Mira Mira boutique, said they saw a flurry of shoppers over the weekend.
“We were really busy Saturday. A lot of husbands and kids were coming in. That was really sweet to see,” Borland said.
Many are going for the personal touch.
MaryAnn Reava of Jennifer Garner Designs said they are having a lot of last-minute monogramming.
“People are running in here and they are asking ‘Can I get this monogrammed?’ Right now, I would say you can come pick out your selection of what you may want but the monogramming is iffy because we are so close and have so many orders in right now. If you save your receipt you can bring it back and get it free monogrammed,” Reava said.
Of course, gift cards are always the right size and fit, and many places like Mira Mira offer promotions right now.
“A gift card is always amazing. We have a special on gift cards. So if you buy a gift card that has a value of $30, you only pay $25 and it goes up in increments. So you are getting a boost there and so is the person you are giving it to,” Borland said.
And the ladies at Mira Mira and Jennifer Garner Designs, encourage everyone to shop local first.
