Man faces murder charge in Noxubee Co.

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – One man is facing a murder charge after admitting to shooting and killing another man in Noxubee County.
On January 16, the Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department received a call that someone had been shot on Valley Street in the Pineywoods area.
When they arrived on scene, a suspect, identified as 23-year-old Jerlaiquiss Taikun Caldwell, was arrested after admitting to the incident.
Medical staff were also on scene providing aid to the victim before taking him to the Noxubee County ER, where he later died.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Jessie Earl Bradford Jr.
Caldwell admitted to having the weapon in his hand when the gun fired. He is now being charged with murder.
Caldwell will have an initial appearance in Noxubee County Justice Court on Tuesday morning.
