Overall fall enrollment is up at public universities in Mississippi

MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – Overall, fall enrollment is up at Mississippi’s public universities.

This year’s numbers show a 1.8% increase from fall 2022.

Four of the eight universities in the IHL system saw a decline, including Mississippi University for Women.

While the overall number was lower, the W said it did see an increase in freshman enrollment compared to last year.

MSU saw a very minor increase. Ole Miss has more than 1,700 new students at its campuses.

Mississippi Valley State saw the largest percentage increase at 16.9%.

Jackson State had the largest percentage drop at 5%.
