Starkville’s 1st Christmas shopping experience returns to town

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Although Thanksgiving is next, you can get your Christmas shopping done early at the Holiday Bazaar.

Starkville’s first Christmas shopping experience returned yet again after more than half a century.

Customers can find anything from hand-made jewelry and crafts to food and gifts from nearly 100 vendors.

Joyce Thompson has been a long-standing vendor for 25 of the 51 years the bazaar has opened its doors.

She said she just loves the experience of being a small business owner.

“I keep coming back because I enjoy sewing. I love to be appreciated by people who buy what I make. And I have loyal customers who come back every year, especially for my brittles that I make and the chocolate fudge. I love the atmosphere here,” said Thompson.

If you missed all of the holiday shopping, you can still mark off a few items from your Christmas list on November 16 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mill in Starkville.
