COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – One more cold night, then there will be a steady climb in high and low temperatures. Rain won’t dampen our holiday spirit, but you may want to ask for an umbrella from Mr. Claus.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Sub-freezing once more! Low temperatures will be falling again into the upper 20s. Continue to follow you cold weather habits from the past several nights to protect your pets, plants, and pipes.

THUR/FRI: Finishing off the week with slightly warmer temperatures, reaching into the upper 50s to lower 60s. Extra cloud coverage is expected for the end of our week. And no more below freezing nights, low temps will be increasing a little more each night.

CHRISTMAS WEEKEND: A couple of passing showers are possible on Saturday, though chances have dropped. Christmas Eve morning is looking fairly dry too. However, rain is still expected Sunday night into Christmas Day. It won’t be a white Christmas, but more than likely a wet one. Be careful with traveling on possible slick road conditions. High temperatures will stay in the 60s from Saturday into early next week.
