SANFORD, FL. – A “not-guilty” verdict was delivered by the jury in the controversial murder trial of George Zimmerman.

The state had charged George Zimmerman with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 17 year old Trayvon Martin in 2012.   Zimmerman claimed he reacted in self defense. The prosecution argued that Zimmerman’s actions the night of Martin’s death were racially motivated and that Martin’s death could have been avoided. Jurors had a question about the charge of manslaughter this evening as well.  The jurors sent the judge a note asking for clarification on the charge after deliberating for about eight hours today.

The six female jurors began deliberating Friday (7/12) afternoon on whether Zimmerman committed a crime when he fatally shot Trayvon Martin.

Sad, sad day injustice. Justice needs to have her blindfold removed. Because it isn’t blind….only colorblind:Justice for some not all.

What would the outcome have been if George Zimmerman had faced an all black male jury or three blacks and three whites. The state of Florida proved their case; however, the state of Florida also picked a none black jury. Has a black defendant in any criminal case in any of the fifty states ever faced an all black jury. CHECK MATE.
