Fire Destroys Home Near Reform Elementary School

REFORM, Ala. (WCBI) — Firefighters are looking into what started a blaze that destroyed a Reform home Sunday afternoon.

Mayor Bennie Harton tells WCBI several fire departments responded to the house along 7th Avenue Southwest around 4:30 p.m. It’s close to Reform Elementary School.

Harton says the fire destroyed half of the vacant home.

He says firefighters responded quickly, so the blaze couldn’t get to the school.
