Oxford Man Arrested for Car Theft

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — An Oxford man is behind bars after police say he stole a car from an apartment complex.

Oxford police arrested 21-year-old Christopher Powell for motor vehicle theft.

The incident happened on June 11.

That’s when Powell is accused of taking the car from University Trails Apartments.

Investigators say they then tried to pull him over in Panola County.

They say Powell wrecked the car while they were pursuing him.
