WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – Two West Point teenagers are being charged as adults in connection with an attempted armed robbery and shooting at an apartment complex.

Police Chief Tim Brinkley says investigators arrested Tommie Malone and Tyron Coleman, both 16, Tuesday for their alleged involvement in the crime at Point Place Apartments Friday night.

The victim in the alleged robbery remains hospitalized. One of the suspects was also injured in the shooting.

Malone and Coleman are both charged with attempted armed robbery and aggravated assault.  Bond for both is set at $250, 000. They are being held in the Clay County jail.

Brinkley says the case is still under investigation he expects to make more arrests.
