5 car chain reaction crash kills 3

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Three people are killed in Thanksgiving morning crash.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says it happened on Interstate 59 southbound, near mile marker 39 in Pearl River County.

Five Vehicles were involved.

Troopers say it appears a Dodge Caravan was driving North in the Southbound lanes of I-59.

The caravan then hit two cars head on causing a chain reaction crash involving two more vehicles.

Three drivers were pronounced dead on scene

Four others were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

MHP continue to investigate the cause of that crash.
