Lt. Governor Tate Reeves running for governor
JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s an election year in Mississippi, including one highly anticipated race – the race for governor.
Thursday afternoon Lt. Governor Tate Reeves announced he’s vying for the governors seat.

Reeves said he plans to kick off his campaign this spring after the legislative session.
Mississippi’s next Governor will replace Governor Phil Bryant who has served to terms.
Attorney General Jim Hood also announced last year he’d be running for Governor.
The last day to qualify for statewide and county wide races is March 1.
Primary elections for statewide and county office will be held August 6.
The general election is Tuesday, November 5.
