Fire at recycling facility in Flowood contained
FLOWOOD, Miss. (WJTV) – According to CBS affiliate WJTV, emergency crews responded to a fire at Nucor General Recycling in Flowood.
The fire occurred at the location on Flowood Drive around 5:00 am on June 15, 2026.
According to Flowood police, the fire involved a large pile of recyclable materials. Police temporarily shut down nearby lanes of traffic while firefighters responded to the scene.
The fire was contained just after 7:15 am, and traffic restrictions were lifted.
