Extreme Heat Returns This Weekend

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – High pressure will build over our area throughout the week bringing upper 90’s and triple digits.

TONIGHT – Mild temps continue with lows in the mid 70’s. A few showers can linger into the early parts of the evening before clearing up overnight.

THIS WEEK – Temps will start in the mid 90’s by Tuesday, but will slowly climb into the upper 90’s near 98 by Friday. All the sun won’t completely eliminate rain though, isolated chances will remain throughout the entire week. Heat alerts will be likely, so stay updated with us at WCBI.

THIS WEEKEND – The heat won’t stop after the end of the work week. Temps will continue to build into the 100’s all weekend and even into the start of next week. High pressure will sit right on top of our area and will likely cause extreme heat and fewer rain chances. Be prepared for oppressive feels-like temps and lots of sun.
