Ashleigh Bryant Awarded Mississippi Association of Broadcasters’ Young Professional of the Month
WCBI Chief Meteorologist Ashleigh Bryant has been named the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters’ Young Professional of the Month.
Ashleigh joined the WCBI Weather Team in August 2022 and became the station’s chief meteorologist in June 2025. Since arriving at WCBI, she has helped guide viewers across North Mississippi and West Alabama through severe weather, tropical impacts, winter storms and countless everyday forecasts. No matter the conditions, her primary focus is keeping the people we serve safe, informed and prepared.
A native of Kennesaw, Georgia, Ashleigh earned a bachelor’s degree in meteorology and a minor in mathematics from the University of South Alabama in 2021. She began her broadcasting career in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she covered winter storms, fire weather and frequent high-wind events before making WCBI and the communities we serve her home.
Ashleigh’s dedication extends beyond the forecast. Her commitment to weather education, community involvement and clear, dependable communication reflects the very best of local broadcasting.
The entire WCBI team congratulates Ashleigh on this well-deserved honor. We are proud to have her leading the WCBI Weather Team and representing our station throughout North Mississippi and West Alabama. Well done!
