Late Summer Heat

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Temperatures in the 90s and heat index values in the triple digits will continue this week. Rain chances remain limited, although tropical moisture will aid in bringing isolated showers during the second half of the week.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Calm conditions will prevail through the overnight hours. Low temperatures will be in the low-70s with mostly clear conditions.

MONDAY: Another hot day to start the week! Temperatures will climb into the mid-90’s by the afternoon, with feels like temperatures approaching 105 degrees after lunch. We’ll have plenty of sunshine with limited cloud cover throughout the day.

TUESDAY: A similar day to Monday, but we’ll be a couple degrees hotter. Highs will be in the upper-90s, with heat index values around 107 degrees in the afternoon. Continue to find ways to stay cool as we head into the beginning of September!
