Mississippi University for Women making The Constitution fun and accessible on Constitution Day

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi University for Women recognized Constitution and Citizenship Day with special activities, including helping students register to vote.

The Department of History, Political Science, and Geography at MUW hosted a Constitution and Citizenship Day celebration in front of Fant Library Thursday morning.

The event featured some yard games, Constitutional trivia,a nd a patriotic photo boot,

The highest scorer on th quiz and the winner of a campus-wide vote for best patriotic phot won $20 gift cards.

The event also offered help to students who needed to register to vote.

‘Today is Constitution Day and we’ve set up a tent where can students can come and learn about the constitution, the history of America and sign up to vote and things like that.”

“You just take one of our forms and you fill it out. It takes like one minute to fill out and we’ll mail it out and they’ll send you your voter registration card. It’s very easy”

The event was a continuation of  The W’s America 250 series of observances.
