BILOXI, Miss. (WCBI) — A late night on the coast was in store for Mississippi State baseball’s first ever game in Biloxi.![]()
And it was the Diamond Dawgs’ first ever win on the Mississippi Gulf Coast as Jake Mangum’s base hit in the 14th inning gave MSU a 1-0 victory over UL-Monroe on Thursday morning.
The game, which was completed in just under 6 hours, featured 17 pitchers and had just 13 hits total between the two teams.
Mississippi State will take the trip over to Baton Rouge to face LSU in a 3-game set starting on Friday.
