Alleged meth seized during Tishomingo County traffic stop

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Tishomingo County on Saturday.

Tishomingo County deputies pulled over Travis Miller, 31, and Christy Payne, 44, of Golden, for seat-belt violations. After learning Miller was driving with a suspended license, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle, turning up the alleged methamphetamine.

During booking, more reported meth and drug paraphernalia was found on Payne.

Miller has been charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set for $2,000.

Upon arrival at the jail, Payne became sick and was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center. Her condition is unknown. No formal charges have been filed against her yet.
