Arrest Made In Tupelo Arson

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man is facing a 2nd Degree Arson charge after Lee County Deputies say he set a fire in the Lee County Library.

Jarvell Gray, 21, is accused of going into the Lee County Library last Thursday around 1 p.m. and setting fire in one of the bathrooms.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Tupelo Fire responded to the fire call.

A deputy who went in with fire crews used a fire extinguisher to put out the small blaze.

The Mississippi State Fire Marshals Office determined the fire was purposely set.

Deputies say that Gray also has prior misdemeanor charges.
