Casino resort launching sports betting app

CHOCTAW, Miss. (WCBI) – Sports betting is gaining attraction in the Magnolia State.

One casino resort is launching the first ever phone app to place bets this weekend.

Starting Saturday, guests can place their bets from their phones and other mobile devices at Pearl River Resorts. Per gaming regulations, you have to be on site at the casino to place bets through the app.

Since opening the Sportsbook five months ago, it has paid out over 8-million in winning bets.

To sign up to you have to go to the players club, have your rewards club card and photo ID.
