City of Starkville approves Annexation proposal

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – In a five to two motion, the Board Alderman decided to move forward with pursuing the proposed Annexation areas in Starkville.

The council also decided in a six to one vote to increase monthly residential sanitation rates by $1.50.

Commercial rates will increase by $5.00

These rates will be named as a “landfill fee” and will be in effect until the city’s landfill closes.

All fees will be applied to the city’s maintenance and upkeep.
