Columbus Main Street celebrates

COLUMBUS,Miss. (WCBI)- The city of Columbus celebrated Main Street on Thursday.

Dozens of people involved with the city, whether employees or volunteers packed the venue at Events Off Fifth.

As of this day, downtown Columbus is at 92% capacity beating the state average of 83% when it comes to businesses downtown.

Out of 146 properties, only 12 remain vacant, according to Barbara Bigelow with Main Street Columbus.

Also at Thursdays party they unveiled this years artwork for Market Street Festival this May.
