Contractors Set To Take A Break From Debris Pick Up During Holiday, Will Resume July 8th

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Earlier this month, Monroe County leaders hired contractors to haul off the debris left behind from the storms.

Road Manager Sonny Clay said they will be taking a break from debris pickup during the July 4th holiday.

However, crews will resume their work on July 8th.

By next week Clay said contractors will have completed the first of three passes.

Clay is urging residents to bring any and all debris they have to the edge of the road so it can be hauled away.
