Drugs, cash, & pipes found in Monroe County Drug bust

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Monroe County deputies arrested two men on drug charges.

Timothy Eugene Nantz, 34, and John Bradley Robertson, 44, faced charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Trafficking.

Nantz also faced one count of Violation of Probation.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said the men were caught with drugs, cash, and pipes.

Cantrell said deputies found between 50-60 grams of meth, about 40 grams of marijuana, pills, and between $5 to $700 in cash.

Even though many are helping out after the recent storm Sheriff Cantrell said deputies are still watching out for other crimes.

“We have to keep up and make sure these people are not taking advantage of this because just because they think we’re down there working, and we all are, that they can go on and sell their drugs and try to make a lot of money here in the county, we’re not going to have that and we keep our job going even when we’re doing other things,” said Sheriff Cantrell.

Cantrell said this is an ongoing investigation and more arrests are expected.
