Local church donates over 150 bikes to local elementary schools
ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI)- Businesses and organizations give typically children toys and clothes for Christmas. One local church is helping kids roll out into the new year in style.
New Hebron Missionary Church purchased over 150 bikes for the second year in a row.
Pastor of New Hebron Church. Joseph Stone, says this would not have been possible without the help of the members of the church.
“Just trying to give kids that may not get something for Christmas a present and again one of my goals is to get kids outside and I think every child needs a bike. There is nothing like a childhood getting on that bike riding, and so it is our goal to be a blessing to our community,” said Stone.
The bikes will be distributed to Aberdeen Elementary and Okolona Elementary Schools.
