Macon man arrested in Pickens County following weekend manhunt
PICKENS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A manhunt through woods, backyards, and a girl friend’s house ends with an arrest in Pickens County.
Deputies arrested 30-year-old Michael Dora, of Macon on Saturday after a manhunt North of Aliceville.
Aliceville Police were originally called after the victim says a man, with a t-shirt over his face, was behind her house.
Dora reportedly broke into a car at that property before running from police into the woods.
Sheriff David Abston says that’s when dogs were called in and the suspect was tracked to his girl friend’s house on Franconia Road.
Deputies arrested Dora and he faces Two counts of Attempting to Elude, Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle, Criminal Trespassing, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
