Man accused of killing Starkville optometrist set to go to trial in fall
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The man accused of killing a Starkville optometrist is set to go to trial this fall.
William Thomas Chislom was charged in the January 2018 shooting death of Shauna Witt.
According to court documents Chisholm’s trial is expected to start November 16. Pretrial motions are expected to take place on August 13 in Oktibbeha County.
Chisholm was taken down by police officers in the parking lot of the Starkville Walmart.
Dr. Shauna Witt was an optometrist at the eye clinic inside the store.
She died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
