Man faces fondling charges in Booneville

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – One man must register as a sex offender and serve jail time after being sentenced for Fondling.

On January 8, Michael Leroy Mace entered a guilty plea, and on Tuesday, January 12, Circuit Court Judge Michael P. Mills sentenced Mace to 12 years day-for-day with three years suspended.

Upon release, the defendant will serve three years of post-release supervision.

Mace will not be eligible for parole or early release. He must also register as a sex offender for this offense.

Booneville Police Department investigated.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Joel Baldwin.
