Man facing several charges after stolen car report in Neshoba Co.

NESHOBA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Neshoba County Deputy tried to stop a vehicle at a Walmart in Philadelphia.

Jehova Dixon was driving the 2024 Hyundai Elantra, and the car was listed as stolen.

Dixon fled from law enforcement for 7-8 miles and abandoned the vehicle.

Deputies searched the area for several hours, and a tip was sent to Choctaw Police on the whereabouts of Dixon.

Dixon was arrested on the Pearl River Reservation and booked into the Choctaw Detention Facility for crimes against the Reservation, as well as a hold placed for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Neshoba County Sheriff`s Office, and the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Dixon will be charged with Felony Fleeing, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Controlled Substance, and numerous traffic violations along with a hold for MDOC for Probation Violation.

Dixon was currently on Probation through MDOC for a previous Felony Fleeing charge from 2023.

He is expected to be extradited from the Choctaw Detention Facility after bonding out for the CPD charges, as well as any pending Federal charges.
