Man indicted for shooting teen

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A June 2018 east Columbus shooting led to an indictment in court.

Brylen Gore was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

A Lowndes County grand jury recently handed down the indictment.

The shooting happened near the intersection of McCrary Road and Forrest Boulevard.

Police say the 13-year-old victim ran to his home on Maple Street after being shot.

Investigators said the two knew each other but did not release a motive.
