Mississippi Flag Lawsuit

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCBI) – After a months long legal battle, Carlos Moore’s appeal to change the state flag has been put to rest.

The U.S. Supreme Court justices rejected Moore’s appeal today, November 27, adding no comment.

Carlos Moore had stated that the flag was an unconstitutional relic of slavery and “state-sponsored hate speech.”

Mississippi has had the same flag since 1894 and is the last state in the union to still feature the confederate battle emblem.
