MS senator suffers stroke

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI)- A Mississippi Senator is in the hospital after suffering a stroke.

Senator Terry Burton had a stroke and is currently recovering.

Lt. Governor Tate Reeves’s office made the announcement Thursday.

Burton recently stepped down from his position as Senate President Pro Tempore following a DUI arrest in Okitbbeha County.

Burton represents District 31.
