MSU awarded $7.2 million defense contract

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi State University is awarded a $7.2 million defense contract thanks to Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith.

The U.S. Army contract will allow the university to test and validate up and coming unmanned aircraft systems technologies.

MSU currently leads the FAAUAS Center of Excellence.

The contract goes through February 2021.
