Ole Miss Releases Booster Names Listed in NCAA’s Notice of Allegations

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Ole Miss has released its previous Notices of Allegations from the NCAA with booster names listed.

The school previously had redacted 14 booster names and third-party listings but were forced to list 12 of the 14 booster names on their unredacted notices on Friday following an ethics commission ruling.

Booster 12 and Booster 14 from the NOA remain redacted following an appeal by John Doe in Hinds County Chancery Court.

The Ole Miss football program faces 21 alleged violations, with 15 of the 21 listed as Level I violations which are the most serious according to the NCAA. The 14 boosters alleged to have been involved with more than half of the violations are:

Booster 1: Darel Thigpen
– Accused of giving approximately $1,750 worth of benefits during the summer of 2010 + provided benefits to prospects

Booster 2: Walter Hughes
– Accused of making impermissible contact & providing impermissible benefits which are valued up to approximately $2,250 by the NCAA.

Booster 3 & 4: Michael Joe Cannon & Cannon Motors
– Accused of providing impermissible recruiting benefits which involve complimentary vehicle use and loans valued at $7,495 by the NCAA.

Booster 5: Michael Strojny
– Accused of giving Lindsey Miller, Laremy Tunsil’s stepfather, $500.

Booster 6: Chan Patel
– Alleged to have provided free lodging in Oxford to a family of a prospective student athlete in the value of approximately $2,253.

Booster 7: Robert Dunlap
– Allegedly arranged access to his hunting land for a recruit on multiple occasions from late 2013 to early 2014.

Booster 8 & 9: Rebel Rags and Terry Warren
– Oxford merchandise store accused of providing $2,800 worth of free merchandise.

Booster 10 & 11: Lee Harris and Funky’s
– Harris is the owner of Funky’s Pizza and Daiquiri Bar in Oxford. Harris is accused of providing cash payments and other benefits in the amount of approximately $200 to $600.

Booster 12 & 14: Redacted
– Accused of providing Student Athlete 39 with cash payments totaling in upwards of $13,000 according to the NCAA.

Booster 13: Arya Keyes
– Alleged to have provided transportation for a recruit and a family member valued at approximately $121 by the NCAA.
