One Group Gives Back to the Starkville Community

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) Buying common house hold supplies can be expensive for some people, but they are a necessity. As a result one local community group in Starkville decided to lend a helping hand.

Willing workers Christ group helps “A Fish for the Lord” to give Starkville residents basic household supplies including

Dish soap, toliet paper, paper towels, wipes and cleaning supplies.

The group says they’re ultimate goal from Saturday’s event is to help elderly residents in the Starkville Community.

“We are trying to raise enough to bless at least one hundred women or mens or whatever elderly people; senior citizens, a lot of them have a need for household goods. They got a struggle in their life. God plan for us to be a support to the communities,” said Bishop-Clinton.

Over two hundred people attended tonight’s event and two hundred items were given away at the fundraiser banquet.
