Police investigate an elderly woman’s death in Monroe Co.
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigated a crime scene in the Athens community last night, where an elderly lady was found dead.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, at this time, a suspect is in custody, and the department does not believe the community is in any danger.
The department will be releasing the name and charges later today, on October 30.
