Randle Takes Marketing Reins Of BGC-North Mississippi

Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippi is pleased to announce the hiring of Lucia Randle as Director of Marketing & Special Events. Randle will assist the organization’s Board of Directors and staff in marketing and development efforts including its top fundraising events, Dance Like the Stars, Cooking Like the Stars and other fundraisers sponsored by the organization in its four communities served (Tupelo, Oxford, New Albany and Ripley). Zell Long, Chief Professional Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippi stated, “The Board of Directors and I are so excited that Lucia accepted this position. Her knowledge and experience in the areas of marketing and organizing special events will continue to keep Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippi in the forefront of community stakeholders and other partners. She is already well-known and involved in the Tupelo area, and has started visiting other Club sites to meet local board members, staff and Club members. ”
Randle has nine plus years of experience in marketing, advertising and public relations at her former employer, as well as additional years of television graphic design and television production. She currently serves as President of the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association (DTMSA) and past Chair of the DTMSA Marketing Committee. Randle has been a contributor/planner of Tupelo’s Elvis Festival, Chili Festival, Wine Downtown, Reed’s Christmas Parade, and many other Downtown Tupelo events. “I have been tremendously blessed in my life and now feel a call to give back”, Randle states. I believe this position is an opportunity to have a positive impact and invest in the future of our communities’ children. I am excited to dedicate my time and talents to such a worthy and deserving organization. Board President Julianne Goodwin states, “I am so thrilled to have Lucia join our team! I have known her over many years through her work at Reed’s, and also through my volunteer work with the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association. Lucia’s talents in marketing and PR will be fantastic for our organization.” “When I think of Lucia, I think of her enthusiasm, high energy, hard work and creativity. Adding her to our team will certainly help us serve the youth and communities we are in and reach new heights”, Goodwin added.
Less than a week on the job, Randle is taking numerous notes, especially focusing on the upcoming Dance Like the Stars event. Prior to being hired, she had already committed to fulfilling an item on her bucket list – being a dancer at Dance. She laughs as she comments that she is truly experiencing “on the job training”.
