All Toys-R-Us Stores Set For Close

UNDATED (WCBI) – Toy giant Toys-R-Us is closing its doors.

The Tupelo Toys-R-Us is among the company’s 740 U.S. Stores included in the shutdown.

Online shopping and mobile games are two areas where the toy store lost traction with children and their parents.

The company’s U.S. online store would still be running for the next couple of weeks in case there’s a buyer for it.

Toys-R-Us had about 60,000 full-time and part-time employees worldwide last year.

This move affects about 30,000 people.
