COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-Monday we brought you a story about Simone Davis and her three children who lost her house and belongings. One viewer felt lead to do something.

After hearing Simone’s story on WCBI News, Charles Clemmons decided to host a benefit in her honor. Saturday Charles and his wife grilled hot dogs to sell to help raise funds for Ms. Davis. Clemmons says, his inspiration came from his church that preaches about helping those in need.

“I was at the breakfast table the other morning my wife and I eating breakfast and I said I’m going to help that lady there. I didn’t know who she was at the time. I’m going to try and help that lady to get back on her feet the Lord just put it in my heart,” says Charles Clemmons.

You could get a hotdog and soda for two dollars and fifty cents. All proceeds will go to Simone and her children,
