Apartment Fire in Sulligent, Ala. Destroys Three Units

SULLIGENT, Ala. (WCBI) — An apartment complex in Sulligent, Alabama caught fire, destroying three units.

According to Sulligent Police Chief Willis Stanford, no one was injured when the assisted living facility went up in flames some time after 7 p.m.

The blaze happened at Lawrence Plaza located on Julia Circle.

The Lamar County Sheriff’s Department says several surrounding fire departments were called in to assist. The was contained to one building.

Fire investigators are still working to determine a cause.
