Video: Car Slams Into Old Columbus School

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The brakes went out on a Columbus driver’s car, then it slammed into the old Lee High School building.

The crash happened about 4:30 P.M. Thursday on the 18th Avenue North side of the former school.

Two trees were destroyed after the Oldsmobile came down the hill, went through the parking lot and into a grassy area before the accident.

The unidentified driver didn’t appear to have serious injuries.

The building didn’t appear to be damaged.
